I'M FREE
(SING ALONG)
Refrain:
I'm free from the fear of tomorrow,
I'm free from the guilt of the past;
For I've traded my shackles for a glorious song--
I'm Free! Praise the Lord! Free at last!
2.
I'm free from the guilt that I carried,
From that dull
empty life I'm set free;
For when I met Jesus He made me complete--
He forgot how (wicked) I used to be.
[ Verse 3 and 4 by your editor,Steve
Van Nattan
To sing verse 3 - 4 wait for the second play of the music. ]
I cried, O Lord, how did this happen,
What price did my freedom demand?
Then the Savior came near, and He whispered so low,
"Come look at the prints in my hands."
Refrain:
I'm free from the fear of tomorrow,
I'm free from the guilt of the past;
I'll soon be with Jesus and sing the glad song--
I'm Free! Praise the Lord! Free at last!
4
Your destiny soon will be certain,
Your debts must be paid with a price;
Jesus said, "I'm the way and the Truth and the Life,"
Believe Him, and have Paradise.

A friend should be radical:
They should love you when you're unlovable,
Hug you when your unhuggable, and bear you
when your unbearable.
A friend should be fanatical: They should
cheer when the whole world boos,
Dance when you get good news, and cry when
you cry too.
But most of all, a friend should be
mathematical:
They should multiply the joy,
divide the sorrow,
Subtract the past,
and add to tomorrow,
Calculate the need deep in your heart,
and always be bigger than the sum of all
their parts.
John 8:36
If the Son therefore shall make you free ye shall be
free indeed.
Romans 6:2
But now being made free from sin, and become servants to
God
ye have your fruit unto holiness,
and the end everlasting life.
Galatians 5:1
Stand
fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free.
and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.

The Carpenter
From: Forrest Halsey
An elderly carpenter was ready to retire. He told his employer-contractor of his plans to leave the house building business and live a more leisurely life with his wife enjoying his extended family. He would miss the paycheck, but he needed to retire. They could get by.
The contractor was sorry to see his good worker go
and ask if he could build just one more house as a personal favor. The carpenter
said yes, but in time it was easy to see that his heart was not in his work.
He resorted to shoddy workmanship and used inferior materials. It was an
unfortunate way
to end his career.
When the carpenter finished his work and the builder came to inspect the house, the contractor handed the front-door key to the carpenter. "This is your house," he said, "my gift to you." What a shock! What a shame! If he had only known he was building his own house, he would have done it all so differently.
Now he had to live in the home he had built none too
well. So it is with us. We build our lives in a distracted way,
re acting rather than acting, willing to put up less than the best. At important
points we do not give the job our best effort. Then with a shock we look
at the situation we have
created and find that we are now living in the house
we have built.
If we had realized that we would have done it differently.
Think of yourself as the carpenter. Think about your house. Each day
you hammer a nail, place a board, or erect a wall. Build wisely.
It is the only life you will ever build. Even if you live it for only
one day more, that day
deserves to be lived graciously and with dignity.
The plaque on the wall says, "Life is a do-it-yourself project.
Who could say it more clearly? Your life today is the result of your
attitudes and choices in the past. Your life tomorrow will be the
result of your attitudes and the choices you make today.

When you thought I wasn't looking, I saw you hang my
first painting on the
refrigerator, and I wanted to paint another one.
When you thought I wasn't looking, I saw you feed astray
cat, and I thought it was
good to be kind to animals.
When you thought I wasn't looking, I saw you make my favorite
cake just for me,
and I knew little things are special things.
When you thought I wasn't looking, I heard you say a
prayer, and I believed there is
a God I could always talk to.
When you thought I wasn't looking, I saw tears in your eyes,
and I learned
some-times things hurt, but it's OK to cry.
When you thought I wasn't looking, I saw that you cared,
and I wanted to be everything that I could be.
When you saw I wasn't looking, I looked - and wanted to
say thanks for all the
things I saw when you thought I wasn't looking.
Have a nice day. Jim

THE MAN IN THE GLASS
When you get what you want in your struggle for self
And the world makes you king for
a day,
Just go to the mirror and look at yourself,
And see what that man has to say.
For it isn't your father or mother or wife
Who judgment upon you must pass;
The fellow whose verdict counts most in your life
Is the one staring back from the
glass.
Some people may think you a straight-shootin’ chum
And call you a wonderful guy,
But the man in the glass says you're only a bum
If you cant look him straight in
the eye.
He's the fellow to please, never mind all the rest’
For he’s with you clear up to the
end.
And you’ve passed your most dangerous, difficult test
If the man in the glass is your friend.
You may fool the whole world down the pathway of years
And get pats on the back as you
pass,
But your final reward will be heartaches and tears
If you’ve cheated the man in the
glass.
