Hole in the Net by Ray Melvin
Freedom is to swim unrestricted
Eating, resting, testing your environment to enjoy.
Life is a fish, so I have depicted,
The hook, the net or your mother will destroy.
Swim little fish, survival is your instinct.
Throw off your temptations, challenges to be met
The net closes in tight in each length
Be calm, be smart for alas there is a hole in the net.
Given thy mother, thy father, and thy brother
Cold and warm, big and small
No threat, no warning or care for the other
Life is a swim with joy for all.
Time is your enemy, as is your environment.
Predators abound at each turn of a rock.
Knowledge and experience grow as time is spent
Complacence sets in, a new obstacle to your mark.
Your life is your swim.
Without water you will die.
Biting at the hook does not you condemn.
The truth you live no worry of a lie.
Grown much larger now thereby survival.
Given your wisdom and your cunning.
Achieved what so many in your pond only fantasized.
Life is an ever challenge maintained by swimming.
Swim big fish survival is unrestricted.
Eating, resting, testing your environment is set.
Life is a fish. so I have depicted.
Be calm, be smart for alas there is no hole in the net.
